Happy Valentine’s Day! We 🫶🏻 our Pinewood family!

Our students had fun taking a “trip around the world!” this morning. They were able to spend time in different classrooms learning a few facts about various countries. They also got to try a special treat from each other! Thank you to Mrs. Palmer, Mrs. Washburn, and Mrs. U’Ren for helping to organize this fun activity! 🌎 🍬

Our 2nd graders had SNOW much fun sledding! ❄️

Our first graders ROCKED the bouldering wall in PE today!

Our kindergarteners are 💯days smarter! We are so proud of the growth they have already made this year! 👵🏻

Snow days can occasionally require adjustments to school food menus as our nutrition team carefully considers food safety, freshness, and delivery logistics. For the most up-to-date menu information, please check “Food Menus” for your school building under the “More” tab in the JPS App.

Pinewood families, thank you so much for all of your support this week with Your Change Can Change Hunger! As a building, we raised $2,488.59 for Hand 2 Hand! Congratulations to Mrs. McElroy's class on taking first place by donating $439.40! In second place was our other 6th grade class, Mrs. Bitter, at $341.76. We are grateful for all of your generosity in supporting this amazing organization!

Yesterday, our first grade students got an agriculture lesson on the production of one of the best dairy products - ice cream! They got to hear a book, watch a video, talk about the steps it takes to produce ice cream and finally, they got to make ice cream. 🍦
This lesson was brought to our classroom through the Ottawa County Farm Bureau, Ag in the Classroom and the Critter Barn.
